Position Location: This is a remote position with limited travel as necessary. Such as company meetings or training, customer requested meetings, and conference trade show exhibits.  

Compensation: $60,000 - $79,000 annual salary. Competitive salary plus bonus potential based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.  

Job Description 

We are seeking a talented and results driven Inside Sales Business Development Manager to liaise between our Marketing and Sales teams. This is a dynamic matrix-based role (player/coach) responsible for developing new business opportunities using innovative software and techniques.  

As an Inside Sales Business Development Manager, you will report to the Vice President of Marketing and works closely with our Vice President of Sales and Client Solutions. Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and driving revenue growth through effective inside sales strategies. You will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to generate qualified leads, build relationships with potential clients, and convert prospects into satisfied customers. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in inside sales and business development, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and other lead generation methods. 
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline by effectively tracking and following up on leads, conducting regular sales meetings, and ensuring timely progress towards sales targets. 
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their needs and pain points. 
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct in-depth discovery conversations to understand client requirements and pain points, and present customized solutions that address their business challenges. 
  • Sales Presentations: Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of our products or services. 
  • Sales Analytics: Utilize sales tools and CRM systems to track, analyze, and report on sales activities, performance metrics, and revenue forecasts. 
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and inform sales strategies. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts, provide feedback on lead quality, and contribute to the development of sales collateral and campaigns. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster long-term customer relationships through proactive account management, customer satisfaction initiatives, and regular follow-ups to maximize customer retention and upselling opportunities. 
  • Personnel Management: Oversee the remote inside sales Business Development Representatives team. Set forecasts and track sales target results for you and your department. Hire, manage, and continuously train inside sales team on the sales administration processes  
  • Miscellaneous: Develop and coordinate department projects to meet deadlines. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue results and game plans to improve. Coordinate trade shows and exhibit conferences; including payment and logistics.
